This will be a bit of a royal day.
You will be taken on a wonderful tour of several breathtaking castles of the region. The Peles castle is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carphatian Mountains, near the city of Sinaia, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914 and initially build for King Carol I. No visit of Romania is complete, without a visit of this architectural marvel.
Rasnov Fortress is a historic monument and important landmark of Romania. The fortress was built around the year 1211 as part of a defence system for the Transylvanian villages exposed to outside invasions.
Cantacuzino Castle from Busteni, was built and inaugurated in 1911. The castle is of a great architectonic, historic and artistic value and you will be taken inside for a journey into the past.
To complete the royal experience on this day, we will stop and enjoy a fine dinning lunch at Cantacuzino Castle.
Designed to blend an upscale dinning with a cozy and stylish atmosphere, your experience here will be equally romantic and elegant.
On our way back, we will stop in the city of Bran, a small town that guards the most important medieval route in Transilvanya. In this little town, on top of a steep mountain cliff, stands Bran Castle, which is by far one of the most famous castles in Romania, widely popularized by vampire films and novels.
Although there is no evidence that the writer Bram Stocker knew about the existence of Bran, the castle is often referred to as home of his infamous character- Count Dracula, hence the name of Dracula’s castle.
